Currently, I recently graduated from Stony Brook University; I now have a Masters in Social Work (MSW) (a list of the electives I took is listed below). I attended Stony Brook for my undergraduate degree and received a Bachelors of Art (BA) in English. Now, I might look to get the CASAC credentials as well since I did a specialization in drug and alcohol abuse.

Recently, I just finished a 2.5 year stint working at a group home near school working with the OMRDD population. It was at the very least an enjoyable experience for me. I met a wide variety of interesting coworkers as well as learned new ways of working with various types of clients. As of right now, I am continuing to work Per Diem at where I interned; an adolescent rehabilitation program for drugs and alcohol. I am enjoying my stay there was well due to the highly professional staff, as well as a welcoming environment to be relaxed and creative.

My future plans are to become a lisenced EMT and to become an accredited Drug and Alcohol Abuse Counselor. In my spare time, if I have any, I would also like to learn American Sign Language and a few other languages.

As far as career goals, I would like to eventually obtain a job in New York City. I've grown up on Long Island my entire life and could use a change in scenery. I also enjoy the hustle and bustle of city life a little more than the more calm life here in Nassau County.
